Tangent, This Badgers Home "Town"

Tangent City Hall

This is City Hall of Tangent, back in this reporters younger years when things were simpler, this used to be a home of a woman the entire elementary school next door thought was the lair of the "Crazy Cat Lady" There was a simple rumor that passed through the school about when the woman died. The rumor was that when the owner died she left her entire estate to her cats. Remember this is just hearsay but what made it stick is that some of the teachers at the school made comments about the cats owning the house next door.
Tangent Elementary

This is the school this reporter went to as a child, far to the right of this photo is City Hall (first photo). This is the spot I would sit every day for lunch back in the day, most left me alone but that was the the favored outcome for this reporter. Years after my departure from this school it seems the only thing that has changed is the brightly colored paying equipment in the background.

The Loss that Angered Oregon (March, 22 2018)

I gotta tell you, nothing wakes a small town faster than the murder of three our nations most beloved birds. Not only were/are the eagles the national sign of American Freedom but they are a tightly regulated bird of prey. As katu.com reports, Rick Swart, an Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife spokesman, said it's illegal to kill or harass bald eagles. He also said it's against the law to even pick up an eagle feather. The report continued to say, at around 5:15 p.m. Oregon State Police said a trooper found three dead bald eagles in the area. They said they appeared to have been shot. At this point, the agency said there are no suspects and no arrests have been made. Its sad that this happened in my home town, to think someone hates these birds so much they would risk prison. For what reason you may ask, well as of this report that question still remains unanswered. If anyone has any further information on the whereabouts of the perpetrator please contact the Linn County Sheriff at 541-967-3950.
